Summary
GU Analytics is being replaced with the leading reporting, analytics, and visualization platform, Power BI. This change provides a more modern and robust platform for accessing and interacting with Gonzaga University data.
When will my reports be in Power BI?
Your reports will be available in Power BI starting on November 1st., 2024
When is the last day I can access GU Analytics?
You will have access to GU Analytics until November 30th, 2024.
What do I need to do?
Starting November 1st:
- Begin running your reports from https://app.powerbi.com.
- You can also access Power BI from my.gonzaga.edu or gonzagau.sharepoint.com.
If you encounter any issues or have questions:
- Please contact your designated report steward (see below for contact information).
Where are my reports?
Open https://app.powerbi.com (or open Power BI from my.gonzaga.edu or gonzagau.sharepoint.com).
How do I find my reports?
Several ways to locate your reports:
- “Shared with me”:
- Navigate to the "Browse" icon on the left side of the Power BI interface.
- Choose “Shared with me”. This section lists reports that have been explicitly shared with you.

- Recent & Favorites:
- The "Browse" section also displays your recently accessed reports and any reports you've marked as favorites.

- Search:
- Use the search bar at the top of the Power BI interface to search for specific reports by name or keywords.
- Once you find a report you use frequently, consider favoriting it by clicking the star icon for easy access.

Will my report look different?
In most cases, your report output will look very similar.
Key Difference:
- If your report has input parameters (filters or slicers), these will now be located at the top of the report page in Power BI, instead of on the right side as they were in GU Analytics.
