Photography Request
Our Purpose: The Staff Photographer in Marketing & Communications serves to provide high-quality, engaging photos for the primary channels through which the Gonzaga story is told. These include our website, social media channels, publications, and other print collateral. The highest priority is given to images necessary to meet goals for student enrollment and retention, fundraising, and the university brand.
Our Challenges: We have one photographer to serve the entire University’s needs, with some assistance from student photographers.
Our Strategy: To use limited staff resources for the highest-impact photo projects, we will prioritize the following:
1. Academic experiences – planned and orchestrated photo shoots of academic work in labs, classrooms, faculty offices, etc.
-Is there an opportunity in your school/department that would work well for this type of photoshoot?
2. Student life – natural, action-oriented photos of students at events and activities across campus that we feel the need to capture to support our stated priorities.
3. Composed portraits of key individuals for storytelling purposes.
Limitations and Opportunities: Here are some examples of requests our department will no longer be able to accommodate, and some alternatives that may better meet your needs:
1. Department/School/College luncheons, receptions, annual events, or award ceremonies
Opportunity: Who are 1-2 key people who would appear in stories about the event, and can we arrange a photo of them apart from the ceremonial/event component?
2. Head Shots, scheduled for specific people or departments
Opportunity: Sign up for a slot at one of the monthly sessions available

All requests must be related to Gonzaga University business and be submitted at least one week prior to your event or project due date.
Please note that we review Photography Requests every Monday, so please plan accordingly.
No personal photography requests are allowed.
