What Is It?
Two factor authentication, a type of multi-factor authentication, is a method to confirm a user's identity after they present two pieces of evidence. As an example, you are asked to provide your account credentials to access Zagweb, then you receive a notification on your phone to approve the login request. Login credentials are evidence of something you know, and the notification interaction carried out on your phone is evidence of something you have.
