This article will describe the privileges your Zagmail account will retain after graduation. It will also describe some of the access that is removed once you are an alumnus.
Information
You will retain access to your Zagmail account after graduation, but if the account is unused for more than two years it will be disabled for inactivity in our directory. If you need access to the account after it has been disabled, please call (509)313-5550 for further assistance with the account.
You will retain access to your Zagmail and still be able to receive emails. One of the primary reasons alumni wish to retain access to their Gonzaga account is to request unofficial transcripts. Unofficial transcripts at Gonzaga cannot be sent to any email address other than one with a Zagmail address, you will need to regain access before requesting transcripts.
You will retain access to your Microsoft account associated with your Zagmail, but your rights within the account will change. You will no longer be able to create or edit documents in Microsoft online or the online programs. You will also no longer be able to download the programs onto your personal computers. You will still be able to access previously created documents however. The unlicensed Microsoft account provides 5Gb of cloud storage.
You will retain access to the Gonzaga Directory in order to reach out and connect with other Gonzaga graduates. Some alumni use the directory to regain contact with previous Zags post-graduation.
You will lose access to any Foley database resources. You will no longer be able to utilize the reasearch libraries and other additional services provided by the library.
You will lose access to most services and applications that are licensed through Gonzaga, such as the housing website, the myGU app, or other applications that are essential to on-campus students.
