Got a new cell phone? Here's how to get Microsoft Authenticator working again

When you get a new cell phone and transfer your data to it from the old phone, it LOOKS like your Microsoft Authenticator app and settings get transferred as well. However, the app will not work until we can help you get it set up properly on the new device.

Prerequisites

This process can only be done during the Support Center's business hours of M-F 7am-5pm during the winter break. During active terms, the Next Gen Tech Bar will also have additional hours M-Tr 5-8pm and 10-2pm on Saturday-Sunday.

Instructions

Please give the Support Center a call at 509-313-5550 during our open hours (above) so we can verify that you are the account holder. We'll have some questions for you, and will need to do a quick video session to view your face along with a government-issued photo ID or your Gonzaga ID card. Once we've verified you, we will clear the existing Authenticator settings so you can set it up fresh with your new device.
